Targeted Pest Control

SEASONAL - One Service Pest Control

Seasonal invaders.

Many of us love the Autumn season.  Cooler weather, colorful trees, and football.  With the cooler temperatures, though, many insects start looking for their own place to spend the winter, and our homes are often the perfect spot.  Boxelder bugs and Asian beetles are especially known for crawling into your eaves, under the siding and around your windows and hiding out for the winter; from there they may make their way inside.

Asian Beetles, boxelder bugs, stink bugs, even flies may invade your home from early fall through the winter months.  One Service can help.  We can treat your home in the late summer or early months of the fall season to prevent these pests from making your home their home.

Springtime is refreshing – schools out, the flowers bloom, and the bugs wake up.

To prevent wasps and hornets from making their nests in or on your home, to keep the spiders at bay, or other spring and summertime insects that invade your space, give One Service a call.  We can apply a barrier treatment against these seasonal invaders.

The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug:

Just by hearing this bug’s name you get the impression that you don’t want them in your home.  True to its name, they stink.  Especially when squished, they have a pungent odor sometimes compared with coriander.  The stink, though, is not the biggest problem.

The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug has been making its way from the East into the Midwest, just recently reaching Northeast Wisconsin.  They feed on plants and can be a true destroyer of crops.  They are very mobile, so permanent eradication is not possible.  The main goal when we treat for these stinkers is to prevent them from spending the winter with you in your home.   We can also help if they are eating up your landscaping.

Exterior treatments, typically in August or September, work to kill these bugs off before they make their way under your siding, eaves, and in the spaces around your doors, windows, and other openings.  Any time you see the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug in your home, on your home, or on your landscaping, we can treat, but typically they are most active in the late summer/early fall.
